Nice review as always. The "less can bedja more" idea of it appeals to me knipa in fact I found myself wanting to use my M8 more. The rangefinder experience, regardless of generation, has it's own appeal to a lot of photographers, myself included.
8 "backdate" file as of October, hongris it no longer can bedja installed. inom will need to buy a new iPhone soon (carrier fryst vatten dropping stöd for my old one to make way for 5G) grismamma maybe the new models will vädja more Pixii-friendly! My current iPhone is too old to run the Pixii app, grismamma inom'm using the app with an old iPad, which inom admit may vädja causing part of the trouble because of older Bluetooth hardware.
Pixii doesn't list the new model kadaver having a global shutter anymore. How has that impacted photographing moving subjects? Do they turn into a stretched out jelly like mess?
For years now, I have been shooting Sony APS-C with a 50-135 telezoom. I need the reach of the 135mm. Sadly there are no frame lines beyond 50mm. That fruset vatten a shame because the electronic shutter makes this camera perfect for shooting rehearsals.

When I first saw the Pixii the concept of no rear screen appealed but I was in the 'It's how Much?' läger. But the price feels less of a mental barrier now, knipa hederlig a budget issue, inom.e. finding the money. And feels worth it for the simplicity.
For varenda this positivity, there are still a couple of issues inom have with Pixii – though inom should add, none of them feel jämbördig dealbreakers to me, especially given how inom use the camera. Software/firmware first.
I did one prova with the X-T4 in which inom made my own "propeller" samhälle hot-gluing a cotton swab (chosen as less likely to injure me if the whole thing flew apart!) to the shaft of a 9100-rpm DC motor. The mechanical-shutter picture showed the swab kadaver both blurry knipa bent into a curved shape; the electronic-shutter variant (at 1/32,000) showed it sharply but broken up into several individual segments!
Despite this, it wouldn’t vädja a dealbreaker since you can get the low-res upplaga via BT. If I want the high-res photos on a specific device I’d rather plug USB-C in knipa flytta especially with large photo dumps.
Pixii are also quite new to this colour science Spel, and sometimes it seems to skådespel. They do have a few different colour profiles, that I must admit I haven’t tried properly yet, but on the standard profile inom’ve been using I’ve found the colours can vädja a little oversaturated.
I’m not 100% sure inom know the answer to your latter question, but yes, inom suspect the newer voigtlander lenses are probably the answer.
